Project Manager Strassenfertiger (M/W)


Responsibility
Responsibility of Project Manager is to run the related product projects: Team is to oversee required standards and to provide test and validation planning, and to support test execution. That affords are not limited to a specific domain within the related product line, but include all disciplines. Due to this, a strong cooperation with other departments is required. Parts of the responsibilities are:
- Identify and propose project opportunities
- Estimate, optimize and assure project budget and resource availability
- Estimate, optimize and assure timeline accuracy
- Assure that project specifications are met
- Assure that project / product specifications are compete
- Provide and assure overall optimized project planning
- Negotiate and propose conflict solutions between projects
- Keep project assurance plans updated

In case of high complexity this team will be supported by specialists of the specific domains.

Collaboration with internal partners (i.e. other engineering Teams, Sourcing, Production, Marketing, Service, and prototype manufacturing) is required.
Beside Internal partners also externals need to be included (i.e. Suppliers)
Overview of state of the art technologies is required. This includes beside supplier & market capabilities also competitor technology level.

Concept and design shall be performed and delivered as required by the project specification.

Detailed specifications of related systems shall be delivered, meeting provided product descriptions.

Participation in design reviews, to assure project deliverables and quality assurance is required.


Position und Aufgabenschwerpunkte:

Accountability
Reliable budget planning and review shall be provided on regularly, according to the companies policies. This shall include all domain related activities and expenses.

Support project Management in project planning. This includes active participation in related meetings, proposals of realistic plans for the own domain, adjustment of own activities to achieve best possible performance.
Thos activities include planning proposals for the team resources and proposals for external support Forecast and estimation of project and product costs is part of this.

Drawings and designs shall be provided according to specifications. Both explicit and implicit specifications shall be considered.

Knowledge of national and international standards affecting projects in the domain shall be respected.
Organization and performance of domain related FMEA and Risk Analysis shall be performed. The output of those shall be considered in the designs.
Functional test plans shall be developed together with internal and external partners. Besides functional testing also reliability growth test procedures need to be supported.

In order to achieve the goal, tools, training and other measures may be required. Those shall be identified and proposed by the team leader.

Authority
Based on systems specifications, domain related project planning and execution need to be done by the team leader. He is performing the teams internal planning in respect to the companies needs.
He defines together with the team members their goals based on coworkers abilities and project plans. Those goals shall be reviewed at least twice per year and revised, corrected if required. Output of the review shall be proposals and measures for optimization of the coworker’s performance (if required).

Reporting
Project manager reports to the Director ROAD machinery Germany.

Due to the different nature of projects, the team size will vary, however it must be assured that each member of the engineering will be part of one (or more) project(s). For the duration of a project the engineering leaders will have to provide allocation input to the project managers for direct and indirect reports.


Profil

Background
Bachelors or masters engineering degree, 7+ years experience preferable in a similar industry with 2+years experience in project management (i.e. supplier or OEM in construction, mining, special machinery, military, etc…).
Individuals with direct exposure to ROAD machinery will be highly preferred.
